KP Two Stage Compounding Series
KP Series of extruders are compounding systems for pelletizing heat sensitive materials. The system consists of two stages, the first is a SHJ co-rotating twin screw extruder for melting and mixing the material, and the second series is a SJ single screw extruder for metering material into the pelletizer.
This system allows for better control of shearing and compounding the material without the overheating problems seen on a single screw extrusion system. It is best suited for PVC and other heat sensitive materials.
